Walkabout Theater's Year in Review from 2017, including images from three productions: early workshops of The Brink! Or Nobody's Ever Kissed Me Like That, an avant-garde cabaret in a cafe at the end of the world; A Persephone Pageant, an outdoor environmental justice pageant with mythic stories about the preservation of Lake Michigan, planned to be remounted this summer 2020; and Mother of Smoke, a mash-up of Euripides's Trojan Women and Chekov's The Cherry Orchard created with Red Tape Theater, stories from the end of days and the day after that.
Although the work is from 2017, it includes performances we are still developing today, as well as the scope of work on dramatic text, songs, ancient stories, co-created material, and indoor-outdoor spaces.
