Welcome to my grieving tapestry. In the year following my Father’s death, I created these paintings inspired by various natural elements that moved me emotionally. Ocean waves representing our shared love. Devil Finger mushrooms representing the rage and decay that eroded our relationship and his health. The sucking-in and blossoming-out that became a self portrait of my own personal journey.
These paintings were all done at the same time, independently designed, rotated as I worked until completed. Only then did I arranged them to flow side by side as a final set. Oil paintings on canvas, 30x30”.
